This third volume of Picklock Lane stories continues the saga of the battle for equal rights of extra-terrestrial aliens currently on Earth. In an era like ours where a major intelligence agency head has affirmed the long-term presence of extra-terrestrial aliens in human populations and where the Cthulhu mythos is prevalent among our intelligentsia, it should not be surprising for active, inquiring minds to imagine the possibilities. This new collection of stories about the notional place called Picklock Lane takes its impetus from the prospect that aliens are with us, embedded in the ruling class and enjoying their own parallel infrastructure as a matter of their survival. The key alien figure in these stories, Fatty Millstone, rises from a head gangster to sheriff. Able to reproduce by fission to produce clones regularly, he is equipped with a whip-like tentacle which turns out to be a lifesaver as well as a law enforcement weapon. Struggling for equal rights of aliens, Millstone and his growing band of fellow aliens, gradually takes over politics and the police while space visits allow persecuted aliens the opportunity to escape and redistribute themselves elsewhere in the universe as a safeguard against pogroms.
