She and her husband, Dean, had three talented sons and enjoyed an active retirement in South Carolina. After her husband's passing, she moved to Tallahassee, Florida, to be near family. Mrs. Rogers keeps herself busy with various activities, including gardening, sewing for her great-grandchildren, crafting, and writing. She believes that history, as a collection of true stories, is one of her favorite subjects. Her family's strong sense of patriotism was instilled during World War II, where her husband served in the Pacific.
