Autorenporträt
The author of this work was born in 1953 to Irish parents who came to England looking for a better life. His primary education was in St. Dunstan's taught by Nuns. Unfortunately, Anthony was left-handed and suffered dyslexia, a condition not appreciated in the 1950's. He wrote backwards! The only subject he could excel was in artwork. Secondary school was no better than primary when it came to English still hamstrung with dyslexia. His father asked him, "Tony what do you want to be when you grow up?" He answered, an 'Artist.' This did not please his father who said, "You will be an engineer like me!" And so it was, he joined the Post Office as an apprentice engineer. In his early 20's the instinct to write and express feelings began to develop, which continued through his professional career, and was surprisingly successful, taking him across the world to almost 40 countries where, aside from his professional work, he sampled different cultures and art. During all this time he continued to write and sketch. Notwithstanding his professional achievements, when asked, he has always considered his most valued achievement in life was his writings and artwork. Now approaching the age of 69 and under pressure from his family to publish; this book is the first - with others to follow.
