This work aims at investigating factors affecting the policy of Arabization in Algeria, such as language competence, language choice, and language attitudes in addition to attitudes towards Arabization and Arabic-French Bilingualism. Correlations between these factors and socio-biographical variables are also investigated. Besides, the aforementioned factors are classified, among other linguistic as well as non-linguistic factors elicited from a number of Algerians, as favouring or disfavouring the policy of Arabization in Algeria. The work's results then may lead to implications related to fields other than Sociolinguistics and Language planning; fields like Applied Linguistics, Politics and perhaps Social Marketing. Therefore, this work should be useful for any researcher interested in Human Sciences.
