The study find out, as the royal families were the major owners of land in Salaalee. For instance, Mentewab Desta had extensive land in various localities of Salaalee.Her rist land was located almost in all Woradas of Salaalee. It also highlights the major problems in relation to land distribution insecurity in the area in pre-1991 and factors affecting land distribution initiation. Furthermore, this work attempts to find out changes that had occurredbecause of the eviction of tenants resulted from intensive mechanized commercial farming by tractor cultivation and prerequisites made by Amde Abera.

Melese Ejara was born to an Oromo peasant family in Salaalee. He received his BA degree from Wollaga University in History and Heritage Management and MA degree from Jimma Uinversity in history. His previous work was entitled ¿A Biography of Assafa Shaaro Lammii¿which is produced in 2015. Currently, he is lecturer in history at Maqdala University.
