Born 1958; studied Theology, History and Philosophy at Queensland University (Australia) and in Princeton (USA); 1988 PhD; since 1992 Professor for Old Testament at Whitley College, within the University of Divinity, Melbourne.

Born 1975; studied Protestant Theology and Ancient Oriental Studies in Bethel, Leipzig and Münster; 2006 PhD; 2008 Habilitation; 2014-19 Professor for Old Testament at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg; since 2019 Professor for Old Testament at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen.
