This book is an edited collection from diagnosis and epidemiology of PCOS to clinical evaluation. There are additional factors that complicate this disease, such as insulin levels and obesity. Women with PCOS are known to be at a high risk for type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Azziz is President and member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons and a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and The Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists. He is also a member of the Endocrine Society and The Society for Gynecologic Investigation, among others. He serves as Executive Director of the Androgen Excess Society, of which he is also a founding member.
