--- 2024 Book Excellence Awards Winner in Pre-Teen Fiction --- 2023 Readers' Favorite Gold Medal Winner in Children's Audiobook --- 2022 Readers' Favorite Gold Medal Winner in Children's AdventureWhat Will You See When You Look into The Pond of Reflection? Content in her father's wise kingdom, Princess Journee loves life but has one nagging question: Who is she? Yes, she is a mouse and a princess, but who is she really? With her adventurous spirit and her father's mighty steed to protect her, she goes on a quest to find herself. The adventure takes an interesting turn when she befriends a toad and an owl who tell her about a legendary Pond of Reflection known to reveal one's true identity. But first they must find it, if indeed it exists. Their friendship and appreciation for each other grow as they encounter difficulties along the way, and strange happenings in the ancient Whoami Forest. This adventure story is inspired by the Biblical Proverb 27:19 (NIV) and communicates the moral that identity and self-worth springs from heart and character (our inside-out), thus sincere friendship can happen regardless of how different outward appearance may be (our outside-in).

Autorenporträt
Catherine (Cat) Ann Russell loves animals and nature very much. She lives with her husband, Ed, on a small farm in Lyons, Colorado, and has goats, chickens, cats, and two cute burros named Nikki and Norman. At one time, Catherine had seven large Nubian goats, and she would take them all on a walk up the valley near her home. People in the neighborhood used to call her, "the goat lady." Before this time on the farm, Catherine worked many years as a scientist to study the sky and air. She released many weather balloons from canyons, fields, and even ships out at sea. People then used to call her, "the balloon lady." Now, Catherine enjoys writing beautiful children's books. Through her Basketful Relief Project and BRP Books Foundation, she hopes to help feed little babies and children around the world by selling her books and donating money to organizations who care for children. Now, people call her, "the book lady." To connect with Catherine and learn more about the Basketful Relief Project, please visit: basketfulreliefproject.com.
