The immense wealth of copyright is little known and poorly exploited in the Republic of Congo, a country teeming with countless literary and artistic talents. Thus, to address this dual problem, the author conducts a reflection that leads to two main avenues of solutions. The popularization and better exploitation of copyright constitute, according to the author, driving forces to promote the development of Congolese authors. First, the author addresses the fundamental notions of copyright, and explains the means of popularization within everyone's reach. Then the author explains in detail the two forms of exploitation of copyright, namely: personal exploitation and exploitation by third parties. Finally, this work ends with strong recommendations to public authorities, the private sector and civil society.
