Being Chinese American is hard. Being Chinese American and having a Dad who had to struggle when he came to America even harder. But being a second generation Chinese American who wants to convert to Judaism is the worst... This work takes a closer look at the cultural differences of Chinese Americans and how Gish Jen has portrayed them in her books "Typical American" and "Mona in the Promised Land".
