Yasmeen Farooq received her PhD from the Department of English, University of Kashmir where she worked on ecofeminism visavis the texts of Margaret Atwood and Alice Walker. She is associate professor in Govt. College for Women, Srinagar and teaches both under-graduates and post-graduate students.
