Dr. Ygnacio "Nash" Flores is currently on the faculty at Rio Hondo College, serving as the Homeland Security Program Coordinator. He was formerly the Dean of Public Safety and Interim Dean of Business at Rio Hondo College. Dr. Flores is a retired Lieutenant Commander who honorably retired after 27 years of service in the US Navy. Before being commissioned as a naval officer, he served in the Navy as a Senior. Dr. Flores holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Pepperdine University (Presidents & Key Executives program), an MPS-HS from Pennsylvania State University, a MAIR from the University of San Diego, a Diploma from the Navy War College (Command and Staff program), and a BSCJ National University. Dr. Flores also has an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government Executive Education and a Professional Certificate from the University of Maryland, University College in Drones and Autonomous Systems. Dr. Flores has decades of teaching in professional and academic programs. He has taught courses in criminal justice, criminology, homeland security, public policy, and business at several colleges and universities throughout the United States.
