Donita J. Clark was born in Wooster, Ohio and raised on the streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She went to high school in North Minneapolis. Donita grew up a troubled teen. She had her first child when she was only 14 years old. By the time that she turned 17 years old she had given birth to her second daughter. With two children to raise, no support system, she turned to the streets. She lived a life of crime until she finally realized her calling; or so she thought. She went back to school and obtained her G.E.D. at 19 years old. She had an overwhelming love of math, so she began her college studies as an accountant. She quickly realized that her outgoing personality did not aligned with this career path. After years of searching, she finally found her calling in nursing. She obtained a her first nursing diploma at Saint Paul College as an LPN. She knew that she wanted to continue her education, so she attended, the Century Community College for her Registered Nurse's degree, (Associate), and then Grand Canyon University (Bachelor). She has spent the last 20 years in the healthcare field. Her drive and motivation, as a Registered Nurse, community activist and steward, comes from the desire to help others. Donita is a wife and mother of 7 children, three girls and four boys, in total. 5 of the children are biological and the other 2 were gifted through marriage. Donita, the Author, has just written her first book titled- In Pain On Purpose: A world of hurt can change your destiny. In Pain on Purpose was inspired by real events in her life. The book was written as a inspirational piece to overcoming self-hate. Nyla, the main character, endured abandonment, abuse, homelessness and then happiness. Her story is meant to encourage and inspire someone that may need a word. Someone that is struggling with their purpose or someone that has no ideal what to do with their pain. If this story can reach just one young women or man that believes all hope is gone, her goal has been accomplished. You are not alone in your struggles. Donita's life work has just begun.... Her story will take you through an emotional ride of tragedy, suspense, triumph and romance.
