The work was developed aiming not only at improving the physical health of the inmates, but also their mental health, since the labor work focused on agricultural cultivation has notably contributed to the resocialization of inmates of the prison unit of Bom Jesus, State of Piauí. The Municipal Health Secretariat of Bom Jesus copied the idea of the use of medicinal plants in the old model of the Regional Penitentiary of Bom Jesus PI, the production of plants by the inmates is taken to the Municipal Basic Pharmacy, favoring the population of Bom Jesus.
