Walton Weaver has been preaching the gospel full-time since 1963, working with independent, non-denominational churches of Christ in Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas. He has written two major commentaries, Philippians and Colossians (1996) and First and Second Thessalonians (2013). He also edited and published a magazine on first principles titled The Apostolic Messenger for eight and one-half years. He and his wife, Margaret, have four children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
