This book examines the development of the Law concerning the preaching ministry in the mission of the Church as the People of God response to Christ's fundamental command reported in Mark 16: 15-16. The author emphasises the urgency of the efforts since the beginning of the Christianity to transmit faithfully the world and works of Christ, highlighting the foundation given to all later disciplinary requirements in this field by dominical precept and the preaching and teaching of the Fathers of the Church, and the requirements incorporated in the decisions of local and ecumenical Councils and other measures promulgated by lawful ecclesiastical authority. Attention is given to the juridicial stipulations À PROPOS the ministries, content, and means of preaching, all specific reference to the Code's pastoral aims. The preocupation of the writer has been to demonstrate these profoundly pastoral aspects of Canon Law.
