IT SEEMED THAT VIOLENCE WAS THE ORDER OF THE DAY... "There was a commotion when the big steel door flew open, a huge man stormed in and started screaming at us. Everybody stood up. The girl standing next to me whispered to me, "Suzy, do not speak. Not one word, OK?" I was a little kid in a big kids' prison. All these women were seasoned female warriors. I had not yet learned how to fight this fight. I could feel my heart beating faster as he screamed at us all. Then he rushed over and knocked a fellow female inmate to the floor, screaming at her. She never uttered a word and there was not one tear from her eyes.' Suzy became street-wise from an early age, a fighter for Justice no matter what the cause. Her experiences of living within and on the edge of the criminal world taught her to honour her word. It was her bond, a bond that kept her alive. People may not have always agreed with her but she held onto her integrity above all. Freedom of speech she believed was paramount and precious to her, unafraid of anyone or publicity her voice invoked. She never stopped fighting. She did the best she could with what she had at the time, she was a wife, a mother and a loyal partner. She remains and gives to the best of her ability, genuine friendship to all who know her and have known her over the last fifty, plus years. SHE WAS UNASHAMEDLY HERSELF AT ALL TIMES AND SHE PAID THE PRICE OF SIN.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
I owe thanks to Nat for suggesting I write this book and to author extraordinaire Susanna Freymark for guiding me, giving me confidence and showing me in real time how to move forward with the planning of this book. Another person I give my most sincere thanks to is Kevin McDonald. His patience in deciphering all my ramblings has been a work of literary art. Kevin, you are a treasure and I am forever grateful to you. Thank you. Most of all I give thanks and love to Kaye who tolerated the thousands of hours I spent writing, cursing, crying and questioning my ability to put it all down on paper as I wrote some of these chapters.Thank you, I love you.PS: Something I have to mention. I swear a lot throughout the manuscript but at those times I was dealing with different situations with people who only understand verbal confrontations. I had to present a tough, no-nonsense exterior as a woman owner-operator or I would have been a victim. In my everyday life away from the sex industry I do not swear and NEVER swear in public ever. I would hate readers to think I have a 24/7 foul mouth because this is not who I am. I am a very respectful person, cuss only when upset or angry and sometimes at home behind closed doors.
