Hydatid disease is a considerable social health problem because of its endemic distribution in many countries. It is a cosmopolitan parasite. It is a parasitic disorder caused by Echinococcus granulosus. The human is an accidental host of the parasite. Mostly, hydatid cyst is primarily in liver (75%) and lung (15%). Intraperitoneal hydatid cyst is found in 13% and it is usually secondary to rupture of primary hepatic cyst. I am from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. I have passed M.S. in 2008 from Smt N.H.L.Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad.I have done Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (FIAGES) in 2012. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. I have published my work in various national and international journals.
