Ken Varnold is a retired police officer, investigator, actor, playwright and now, an author living in Minnesota. Previous novels include The List of Things Bought, Volumes I and II, Somewhere Down the River, Urumqi, and now, The Primitives. His 1996 stage play, starke.florida; the final hours of Ted Bundy debuted in the UK in 2017 to critical acclaim.
