Autorenporträt
JEAN-JACQUES BURLAMAQUI (1694-1748) was born and educated in Geneva where he studied law, later becoming a professor and lecturer. His Principes du droit naturel (1747) and Principes du droit politique (1751) have been used extensively as foundational law texts and provided the basis for the ideals set forth by America's Founding Fathers.
