The problem in the Democratic Republic of Congo is poverty. Compared to other countries, the population does not manage to satisfy its basic needs. (Food, housing, education, health...). The city of Goma, being located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, more precisely in the East, does not escape this problem. Several causes are at the base of this situation, among which we can quote; the fall of the exports of the agricultural products such as the coffee. In fact, since the 1990s, coffee exports in the city of Goma have continued to collapse. In 2002, due to the eruption of the NYIRAGONGO volcano, this situation worsened. Currently, a large part of the population that used to work in this sector remains unoccupied and without an income that could improve their living conditions. It is generally known that the export of coffee could contribute to the development of the city of Goma, so our ambition is to try to discover what could be its problematic on the socio-economic life of the population of the city of Goma.
