Produktbeschreibung
In this book the author analyzes the philosophy of Pedro Calderón de la Barca through the development of the arguments contained in his work. For this playwright it is a dynamic way of explaining his philosophy through philosophical dramas written with the aim of making them more realistic and entertaining the reader. Calderón treats in his work a theme that was a preoccupation of the writers of his time: the freedom of man and the control of his destiny. So he will content himself with challenging the political class to recognize this human faculty. From then on, philosophical dramas were used as a means of protest against the lack of freedom and its restoration in Spain. The technique of dramaturgy is moral, typical of the time. But it is also perceived a comic style and at the same time ironic to give an air of intellectualism and grace apart from its moral aspect. Calderón proposes to state and resolve on stage, and for an understanding audience, typical problems then born ofthe inner contradictions of society and of man in his free relationships with others and the world. .
