The problem of a woman's identification is a particular aspect of the global identity crisis, which is especially relevant in modern society, due to the following reasons. The transition from traditional to civil society was accompanied by the rejection of social stereotypes, in particular gender stereotypes, in order to increase personal freedoms. Following tradition in a traditional society provided the majority of its members with a stable personal identity. The transitional character of the modern stage is manifested in the fact that the transformation of stereotypes is radical and rapid, which poses a threat to the gender identity of our contemporaries. Patriarchy and feminism, as opposing value systems, simultaneously coexist in society, and this opposition causes both external and internal conflicts, problematizing both individual and group gender identity. Conflicts of individual and social consciousness give rise to neuroses based on the loss of gender identity, difficulty in intergender communication, the most negative effect on the institution of marriage, family education, cause contradictions in public life.
