This book could be considered as the extension of a group of literatures that deal with the subject of children with a diagnosis of mental retardation. This diagnostic entity, in general, has been approached with particular emphasis on the cognitive aspect and its influence on school acquisitions, on intelligence and its measurement through instruments and methods elaborated for such purposes; in few cases, facilitating the approach from a more optimistic point of view in favor of these children and the immense possibilities of development from the own family environment.
