Although poverty is a global scourge, everyone looks to Africa, especially Black Africa, when we say the word "poverty". Not everyone has the same definition of poverty. The United Nations and the World Bank have different definitions of poverty. Even the taste of poverty varies from person to person. To someone who can't read or write, can't afford medical care, and can't find food, poverty is bitter and a level of denigration. To Europeans and North Americans, poverty is an instrument of domination and a measure of legitimacy for the theory of white supremacy. Africa does not produce arms.
