This paper aims to trace the diachronic path of the canonization of the three sections that make up the Hebrew Bible (Laws, Prophets and Writings), paying special attention to the theories and hypotheses that have been put forward in the past and, in modern times, rejected and replaced by others. André Galvão Soares has a degree in Hebrew from the University of São Paulo and a master's degree in Biblical Studies from the same institution, where he is also currently carrying out his doctoral research. He is also a professor of theology.
