Es licenciada en Matemáticas y Física por la FIC (1986), licenciada en Química por la UFSM (1986), especialista en Enseñanza de Matemáticas por la FIC (1988), máster en Ingeniería de Producción por la UFSM (2011) y doctora en Ingeniería Agrícola por la UFSM (2016). Actualmente es profesora de la Escuela Politécnica Superior de la UFSM.
