Grabmeier served as a military instructor and technical writer with the rank of Staff Sergeant during service at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and in Saigon, Vietnam, in the late 1950s. His civilian career as a technical instructor and writer, heavy equipment supervisor, and equipment designer spanned thirty years. During that time he taught the construction of early computer memory systems, supervised crews of up to forty men, and controlled a one-million-dollar budget. Richard is currently in the process of writing a few other novels and a self-help book.

Richard H. Grabmeier served as military instructor and technical writer with the rank of Staff Sergeant during service at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and in Saigon, Vietnam in the late 50's. In Saigon he served as a member of a four man MAAG (Military Assistance Advisory Group) team, composing and teaching heavy engineer equipment maintenance to Vietnamese troops. His civilian career as a technical writer and instructor, heavy equipment supervisor and equipment designer spanned thirty years. During this time he taught the construction of early computer memory systems, supervised crews of up to 40 people and controlled a million dollar budget. He then served as an insurance company president and published his first novel Peter Olaf in 2000 (see Amazon historical fiction. The book was rated as a strong, debut, historical novel by Kirkus Reviews. He has now written The Prophet and the Warrior (2019 and present) and Suddenly a Larger World.
