The relevance and recurrence of the world's cultural and intercultural challenges have undermined the narrow conception of sustainable development based on economic efficiency, environmental or ecological responsibility and social solidarity. Three dimensions established by the UNCTAD Brundtland Report. In fact, instead of merging them into a shaky trilogy, sustainable development must reconcile economic efficiency with social solidarity on the one hand, and environmental preservation with intercultural relations on the other. To make our contribution to the edifice of sustainable development, as part of the research work leading to the writing of a dissertation for the Master's degree in CA2D, at IRIC, we have chosen the theme: "Une perspective d'encadrement des chutes de la Lobé dans le patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO". The aim is to show how this site is sacred, and how the sustainable protection of its natural landscape should be reconciled with the promotion and safeguarding of the techniques, know-how and representations of the local populations.
