Since it was first proposed by the French philosopher Gaston Berger in the 1950s, prospective has established itself as a major practice in organizations, both public and private, particularly when it comes to informing decision-making in an uncertain future. The Prospective Anthropology presents a selection of the main texts on which prospective is based, both as a philosophy of action and as a philosophy in action, as an attitude and as a method. They set out the main components of this approach, and offer a perspective on the philosopher's intellectual development.
