invention of the Internet is changing the whole world
into a global village. The part of human civilization
that is most affected by the information age is none
other than the business world. The way to conduct
business using the electronic media especially the
Internet is known as e-commerce or e-business. The
small and medium industries in Malaysia seem to be
very slow in responding to this information
revolution, which is not good for the development
of Malaysian economy. Therefore, this research is
conducted to assess the readiness for e-commerce
among the SMI/SME in Malaysia, and hopefully the
research will help to instill awareness among the SMEs
towards ecommerce and help them to speed up their
involvement in e-business.
