Tim Beaton was born in Alaska and is the grandson of the man who discovered the great Iditarod gold strike in 1908. He has moved throughout his life, living in such places as Seattle, Guatemala, and Louisiana, though his roots still remain in Alaska. Since childhood, Beaton has felt a connection to the parapsychological, and his experiences with it inspired him to write The Psychic Time Traveler.
