The third novel set on the Baltic island of Oland from the Swedish author and winner of the CWA International Award 2010. It's spring on Oland and 83-year-old Gerlof Davidsson has moved back to his summer cottage next to the old quarry, where, according to folklore, blood was once spilled in a battle between elves and trolls.
