The reading of Autumn by Philippe Delerm allows us to see that we are dealing with a text marked by what is called the hybrid. In this text, the author blurs the boundaries between literary genres and chooses painting as the major theme of his writing. Thus, the writing opens on a remarkable hybridization which makes combine on the one hand, prose, poetry and the epistolary genre and on the other hand, painting and literary creation. In this way, Philippe Delerm endows his work with a new generic identity, an unstable, fluctuating identity, at the crossroads of literary expression and pictorial creation. The interdisciplinary fusion in this text allows for the proliferation of a subversive hybrid aesthetic that transcends the boundaries between genres and even between the literary and the non-literary. The pictoriality in this novel is a constant both thematically and aesthetically which, by doubling as an authentic poetics of Passion, Beauty and Truth, offers the reader new perspectives of reading, representation and interpretation.
