Brill, Leiden, The Netherlands. He is editor of 'Studies in Judaism', University Press of America. Neusner resides with his wife in Rhinebeck, New York. They have a daughter, three sons and three daughters-in-law, six granddaughters and two grandsons.

Ernest S. Frerichs is Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. He has co-authored several other works with Jacob Neusner, including 'Approaches to Ancient Judaism, Volume VI: Studies in the Ethnography and Literature in Judaism'. Baruch A. Levine is Skirball Professor of Bible and Ancient Near Eastern Studies and Professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University. He completed his B.A. in comparative literature at Western Reserve University and his Ph.D. in Mediterranean Studies in 1962 at Brandeis University.
