Autorenporträt
My name is Christen Conrad and I love to write poetry and children's stories. I have self-published two books: Zester The Zebra And His Missing Stripes, and The Lion And The Cricket Play Hide And Seek, both children's rhyming picture books, from my Forever Zoo Friends Series. They are in rhyme because I feel the rhyming verses are fun to read and listen to and will help children learn to read and love to read. Thie Rainbow Pickle Patch is my third children's book, but first book to write that is not in rhyme, but still a cute story to be read.My stories are creative and inspiring for children and I enjoy helping kids focus on making friends, being nice to others, not giving up, and learning to admire themselves through their strengths, uniquenesses, and individuality. I also aim to help young children learn to treat other's differences with compassion, empathy, and equality as they grow into young adulthood. My goals are to reach all kids. However, I have a special heart for children who struggle with reading, learning, ADHD, or anxiety. I was very shy when I was young and had a hard time making friends. Therefore, my stories focus on teaching kids about friendships no matter who you are. You can find more about myself and my books on my website www.thestorybookwriter.com
