James's Blog started in October 2015 and has become a weekly phenomenon that adds salt and light to the internet. This first year of posts is a rich collection of things in his head that he has been brave enough to release into the wild. 'The Man who Sold me a Pear' won the 2016 Association of Christian Writers 'Good Samaritan' short story award in partnership with Street Pastors. The Association of Christian Writers is a fellowship of writers sharing prayerful support and encouragement as well as giving professional standards of training and advice. They support Christian writers overseas, in the developing world and Eastern Europe. www.christianwriters.org.uk Street Pastors are trained volunteers from local churches who serve their community during the small hours of the weekend. Teams of men and women patrol from 10 pm to 4 am on a Friday and Saturday night, to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets. Proceeds from this book will help support this work. www.streetpastors.org Comments on 'The Man who Sold me a Pear': Anne: I had a tear in my eye too! Jon: Can really relate to this one. Thanks for writing it. David: I just discovered your Blog. Love it and the honesty in sharing your life and faith. This story about buying a pear really touched me. Cheers James.

Autorenporträt
James is a writer, a father, a husband, a follower of Jesus and a lover of board games, though not necessarily in that order. Sometimes he even manages to do some of these things quite well. He's crammed quite a lot of experiences into his life so far, such as working for Tearfund; being a Baptist minister; living in Australia as part of a mission & discipleship community and watching QPR beat Oldham Athletic at Loftus Road on the 27th December 1993. It's not been all bad.
