This book is framed in a historical study from the perspective of the recontextualization of knowledge about the reception of the theories of special relativity (SRT) and general relativity (GRT) in the early twentieth century in Colombia. Showing mainly the work of the academy of the time, prominent people, scientific institutions, dissemination of original writings and their teaching. This study demonstrates the importance of the history of science in the educational context as another form of teaching and the importance of studying the positions of the physics of Colombian scientists. In addition, it implicitly shows the role that can be played as historians by physics graduates and those who are trained in this professional career, this oriented in the recognition of the past and the social dynamics under which the different theories were created, consolidated and received in Colombia, covering the understanding of some physical phenomena.
