Susan Wyant writes early elementary fiction that encourages children to practice inclusion. Her first book, Frank the ChristmasGargoyle, came from a true story about bullying that went viral on Facebook in 2021. Likewise, her current publication, The RecessCoat, appeals directly to children's intellect, introducing new vocabulary supported by whimsical illustrations.A retired reading specialist, Susan was a Martha Holdings Jennings Scholar and received her bachelor's and master's degrees fromThe Ohio State University followed by further post graduate education. Additionally, Susan has been a presenter at the InternationalReading Association, and she has been published in Social Education, Reading Horizons, and ERIC (Education Resources EducationCenter). Her love of children's literature continues through charitable donations in her local community.
