Autorenporträt
Molly Owen was born and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma. She grew up visiting many attractions in and around Northwest Arkansas and Northcentral Missouri where many of her stories take place. She and her husband moved to Dallas, Texas in the late sixties, where they raised four children while owning and running a commercial printing company. The Leslie LaRue Mystery Series takes place in the French Quarter inspired by the many weekend trips she and her husband spent in New Orleans as a respite from the daily grind of owning a business. After becoming a widow in the late nineties, she moved to Bella Vista Arkansas to be closer to her father after the loss of her mother. Over the past twenty-two years, she has written more than twenty books. When Owen isn't writing and researching for her books, she loves playing the piano, decorating, gardening, traveling to spend time with her family, and caring for her two rambunctious cats. She is an active member of her church where she enjoys singing in the choir, playing the accordion with the Gospel Band, playing the piano for sing-a-longs in nursing homes, teaching a fitness class, and attending Women's Bible Studies. Owen's books are inspired by her years of caregiving to family members and her training as a Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader for many years at her church. "My desire is that a message of hope in each book comes through to the reader," Owen says.
