Janice Garden Macdonald is the author and illustrator of 7 children's books and one adult title. She worked in the publishing industry for many years as a representative, library consultant and bookstore manager. She is the recipient of a dozen writing awards in different genres including the Zoetrope short fiction award judged by Joyce Carol Oats and the Moondance Film Festival award for an animated screenplay.During her time as a bookstore owner, specializing in children's books, she discovered her love of writing and illustration.She currently lives in Ontario with her husband and dog, Rufus, where they oversee a wetland conservation area.
