In vitro embryo production (IVEP) is a technique used in animal reproduction that has become a tool of continuous growth in Brazil, since it is a technique responsible for the rapid genetic development of production animals, a fact that has allowed this technique to spread from research to commercial application. The PIVE of females from elite herds can be even more efficient when associated with the selection of animals that have easy-to-measure fertility indicators, such as antral follicle count (AFC), ovarian size and external genitalia.
