A train journey to Paris abruptly becomes a life changing event. Daniel Williams, a salesman, facing failure at home and at work, is forced to make extreme choices; aware the decisions he takes can also threaten the lives of those he seeks to help. He finds himself drawn into a wider national debate on the legitimacy of 'Good Samaritans' and whether their well-intentioned efforts should be protected under the Law. Powerful groups seek to use his actions to demonise the concept of the Good Samaritan. Was Daniel Williams a reckless chancer, guilty of manslaughter, or a hero, simply doing his best? Daniel seeks to come to terms with his guilt, rebuild his life and find a path to redemption.
