One of the determining elements in a modern and well-structured public service is remuneration. No public service can conveniently function without remuneration mechanisms or packages. It is a sine qua non or essential element in a working environment, an element which could be considered as the sinews of war.In Cameroon, it is experiencing a lot of problems within the framework of the remuneration system. It is a vicious system, a system in which salaries are generally very low; allowances and other payments are not satisfactory; etc. It is a system which has created a great gap between top or senior civil servants and junior ones.
