SAMUÉL LOPEZ-BARRANTES lives in Paris, where he leads historical walks on modernism, existentialism, and the Nazi Occupation of Paris. The Requisitions is his second novel and the flagship novel for Kingdom Anywhere, an independent anglophone publisher based in Paris, founded by Lopez-Barrantes and his wife, the photographer Augusta Sagnelli.
