The case study conducted at Policlínica Barral y Barral, lists the existence of Reverse Logistics in the unit, for the area of Health Services Waste, to find out how the process is done both internally and in the external area. Research done in a descriptive exploratory manner in relation to the process. With the help of a questionnaire, interview and monitoring of the process routine, from collection to external temporary storage, it was verified that NBR 12,808 is followed step by step, however, due to the lack of specialized personnel and financial support from the State, it is done in a precarious manner. There is a lack of support equipment for the server responsible for the collection and dispatch of this special waste. Finally, it was possible to highlight improvement points in the process, such as a cart with wheels, so that it is not necessary to take the special garbage bags in your hands, avoiding possible accidents, changing the collection schedule of the rooms, in view of the high volume of people on time and signs in the external temporary storage room, as requested by ANVISA (2006), supported by the National Policy for Solid Waste, Law No. 12,305/10.
