Sono nato a Cuenca, in Ecuador. Mi sono formato come avvocato all'Università di Azuay e ho una specializzazione in diritto del lavoro e sicurezza sociale all'Università di Cuenca. Ho lavorato come consulente esterno per l'Alto Commissariato delle Nazioni Unite per i Rifugiati in Ecuador.
