The pieces of the galactic puzzle fall into place for this prequel in the GwenSeven Saga - a story about family and industry, love and discovery. Faith de Rossi - head of what is quickly becoming the most lucrative and influential company in the universe - finds in her family her utmost power, and her greatest vulnerability. Evan discovers purpose and Gwen accepts her role and responsibility. Hope refuses to be controlled. Charity is determined not only to survive, but to come out on top. The race of constructs made by GwenSeven discover what they really are and find a family in one another - one that will pray, slay, and betray together - anything in order to gain their autonomy. Some family is by chance and some is by choice. All sides learn that reality is shaped by perception and the hardest thing to hold onto is control.
