The River Prayer is a collection of original proverbs that looks to continue that classic form in its search for wisdom and spirituality. Different themes such as faith, love, vision and inspiration are woven together in chapters that flow together like a river. Breaking through the confinements of religion, Laurence David wrote this book to express his unique spiritual outlook in simple poetic form. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he relocated to New York City and then Dallas, Texas, before returning to Lancaster County in 1998 when he began working on this book. The imagery is inspired by the natural beauty of the southern Pennsylvania countryside. He currently resides in Pequea, PA, with his wife Cathy, and has worked on a collection of proverbs that is a companion piece to The River Prayer.
