This has led some legal pundits to aphorise that socio-economic development under the Cameroonian law to be a myth and not reality. To come out with this piece of work theoretical and empirical methods in collecting data was use, it was discovered that, the raison d'être of low performance by local councils in socio-economic development in Cameroon, is due to the fact that, there has been inadequate measures as well as ineffective Implementation of the laws regulating the effective decentralization of administrative and financial autonomy owing to the fact that there exists several challenges and difficulties in the Implementation of these laws.
